I graduated from St. Norbert College with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career as a 5th and 6th grade teacher for two years. Next I taught 2nd graders for one year, and then 3rd graders for nine years. Eleven of these 12 years of teaching were in the Archdiocese of Chicago. During this time, I also received a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University. I took some time off when my children were young. When I returned to the classroom, I worked as a teacher assistant at Kensington Preschools for five years and one year as a teacher. Finally, I began teaching at St. Francis Xavier School. I feel blessed to be in my ninth year of teaching preschoolers at SFX!
I live nearby with my husband, Rick, and our children Katie and Ricky. Katie is now a senior at Marquette University, and Ricky is a junior at Marquette University. I enjoy spending much of my free time with my family and friends.
